I can’t fault the rice this thing cooks. I love the time delay function: I usually set it before I leave for work and its hot and fluffy when I get home. I have also used it to steam asparagus, which went well. My only complaint is that it came with the steam escape unit detached, and with no instructions now to assemple it, though it was quite easy once I figured it out.

I’ve been cooking for over 20 years and I absolutely love this cooker! It is an idiot proof way to make perfect rice. I bought 5 more for x-mas gifts. I gave this to my brother for his birthday since he let it slip a few months back that he wanted a rice cooker. I selected this model for a few reasons:
1. reasonable price
2. good size for a single person (not too big to make just enough for a meal plus leftovers, but not too small if he’s entertaining)
3. I’ve had a previous model from the same manufacturer for several years and it still works good as new

He said it worked great on white rice. He’s hopeful that brown rice will turn out equally well and is looking forward to trying out the steamer functionality.
